Receiving Virtual Care Is Easier Than Ever Before!

Virtual care appointments have become increasingly popular in recent years. The convenience of receiving professional medical care from your home is enticing to many people, especially those who struggle with mobility, don’t feel comfortable going into a doctor’s office, or have children to look after.  

You are encouraged to call us to determine if a virtual visit or an in-person visit is right for you.

Please call our central scheduling office at 828-692-4289 or call your local practice. You can also sign up by filling out the form at the bottom of the page. 

What to Expect After Signing Up for Virtual Care

If you have a Smartphone, you will receive a text at your scheduled appointment time. Tap the link in the text message within 10 minutes of your appointment time. If you miss the text or do not tap the link in time, your provider will call you.

If you do not have a smartphone, your provider will call you at the designated appointment time.

In some cases, there will be forms that you can fill out electronically to update the information we have on file. Please do your best to fill them out prior to your scheduled appointment.

Telehealth Care

How does Telehealth work? 

With a special tool called a Tytocare telehealth unit! This unit has attachments such as an otoscope, blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, and pulse oximeter.  When a provider is not on site, an RN operates the unit, following the provider’s instructions. The otoscope attachment allows the provider to see into the patient’s ears, nose, and throat. The Tytocare also allows them to hear heart and lung sounds. Providers receive this feedback in real time, and can diagnose and treat the patient based on what they see.
